PLPLPL.PL is a hyper responsive video installation. A tech noir surveillance machine, gathering data from its enthusiastic audience. The machine uses the latest technologies from the surveillance industry to interact with its visitors. It provokes them into weird and devious behaviour, while analysing, correlating and storing all of their actions.
The installation has been shown, among others, at the V2 Institute for Unstable Media (NL), TodaysArt Festival (NL), Next Level Festival (DE) and the Dutch parliament.
PLPLPL.PL is a project by Matthias Oostrik, in collaboration with Pandelis Diamantides and Diederik Schoorl. Our partners are TodaysArt and Impakt Festival. The project is supported by the Creative Industries Fund NL and the Amsterdams Fonds voor de KunstThe Mutual Wave Machine by Matthias Oostrik and Suzanne Dikker with Pandelis Diamantides, Diederik Schoorl and Peter Burr.
